Mission Statement:
San Clemente Citizen.com is an interactive news site by citizens, for citizens.
It is not a corporate news site that tailors its news to its corporate sponsors.
On this interactive site, a citizen can post:
- news articles, press releases, letters, editorials
- letters to government officials
- letters to businesses
- and much, much more.
San Clemente is not a sleepy little town anymore. Big money has moved in, carving out hillsides, filling in valleys, and re-shaping it's entire culture.
The current media,( for example, the Sun Post) at best do a very superficial job of reporting the real news in this town, and, at worst, squelch it.
For instance, there has been no trenchant reporting about the ugly subdivisions that are cropping up like weeds along Pico.
There has been no in depth reporting about the homes which the city allows to be built on unstable slopes - and leaves the hapless homeowner to cope with the resulting disaster.
San Clemente Citizen will tell it as it is, plain, unvarnished, and without fear or favor to anybody.
We hope you will take this opportunity to participate fully in this project. Hopefully, in doing so, you will help to make San Clemente a better place to live for all.
